Data Music CD Vista

I was wondering if anyone can help me burn a data music cd on vista. I used to do it on xp and it was pretty straightforward but for some reason i cannot do it on vista. I insert the blank DVD or CD, open the drive in a window, and copy the files I want to burn into the folder, this takes a very long time compared to the xp, so my assumption is that it is burning them as I add them, which would also account for the reasons that I cannot find a "burn these files" option anywhere once all the files show up in the drive window. So working on the assumption that the files were already burnt I tried to play the CD/DVD in my vehicles CD player (Which is an Alpine fully capable of playing data music discs) and it did not work, read error to be exact. Any thoughts? Is there a program i can use to do this. I have roxio on my computer but i dont think that it will help me.

I don't know if this will help but one little quirk in Vista now is that the CD/DVD recording is being affected by the anti-virus/spyware software. Try turning off the AV/SW TEMPORARILY and try and burn the disc.

Also if there are little file icons w/arrows by your CD/DVD drive your files have not burned ... if you right click on the CD/DVD drive letter there should be an option to "Burn these files to disc".

Hope this helps ... it's worked for me in the past ... hopefully it will work for you. If not I guess we both have to wait for Vista SP 1 ... LOL
