The PC version of Fallout 3 is gorgeous!

Quote:
The PC version of Fallout 3 is gorgeous. The colours are vivid, the draw distance is endless, the textures are high-res and the lighting effects are beautifully subtle, especially when you're gazing over the Capital Wasteland at sunset. It's the best-looking of the three.

The Xbox 360 version's textures are noticeably rougher than on PC, and objects in the distance aren't quite as clear. It does, however, boast an impressively solid frame rate. The game is, otherwise, identical.

NOW, the PS3 version looks the same as on Xbox, but things in the distance are slightly jaggier/rougher, the textures seem 'muddier' up-close and the frame rate is choppier, especially during the last few story missions (which may be the same on Xbox, but we've not seen the equivalent scenes to comment).

I have it for PC and god I love it.

It's one of the first RPG's in a LONG LONG time that I've actually found myself really involved in. Most times I find myself playing just to level up or whatever it may be, but with this game I actually want to discover where my "dad" went and discover all that exists in the new world of DC.

Not to mention that I really enjoy the theme.

Great game.

Currently I'm finding it difficult to financially survive/stay stocked up on ammo very well in the game, the more I go out to make caps (for those without the game that is the currency) the more ammo I go through and the more money I in turn have to spend on medical injections. Any advice on this darq?

What weapons are you having problems with? Also Using V.A.T.S. helps alot with conservering ammo. As far as stimpacks I have a ton of them, because I sleep just for a hour to heal. Unless you are in the middle of a firefight and going to die dont use them just find a bed. Run alot of sidequest for the towns people and they give you stimpacks pretty regulary. Pickup ALL scrape metal you find there is a person in everytown that is going to ask you for it. If you go to the mall to the city of Ghouls the dude gives you caps and stimpacks for 5 pieces of scrape.

How much replayability does Fallout have? I have been told its alot like Oblivion (play wise not content) and I really didnt get much into Oblivion past the first few mission.

I have about 45 hours and still have not completed the main quest. so many places to discover and so many freaking side missions. Though I am PISSED that the level caps at 20.
