I've run into some interesting problems with my laptop. It started about a month ago when it would turn off, not the blue screen death just turn off by itself. I checked a bunch of techie forums and ran across numerous overheating problems, it sounded to fit, it usually only occurred when i tried to burn cds, or play a game. So i bought it it's own little fan cooling dock thing, and it seemed to almost completely correct the problem, but then about a week ago it came back with a vengeance. This time it would shut down when i was browsing the internet on frefox, and tried to open a folder, or something stupid. So i cracked down i ran virus after virus scan, nothing. i ran spyware scans nothing. i then started running registry scans and every time massive errors popped up 300 or so at a time. I would fix them and then again new ones or the same would pop up. So i gave it realized it was time to reformat, ok i start the reformat process and wham it shuts down, i tried to reformat again and again about 30 times, all with the same end result, it just shuts down. I tried taking he hard drive out and hooking it up to my desktop and formatting it and using it that way and i didn't received any errors it seemed to be working fine. I have no idea how to check the ram, or cpu. I'm pretty retarded about that stuff. I also cleaned the fan area again just in case i was overheating!! Any ideas, really not wanting to send it away, it's been down all day and I'm going into withdrawals..
