I wish i could get your laptop Ghost Recon... My offer $2.00
(I'm dirt broke....)

The laptop has lost a significant amount of resale value due to the scratches but I would definitely get it given your situation. The M170 served me well for 2 years so good luck.

Look at the Mini-Bench thread in my signature for a few numbers.

I'd take $2.00 if you'd throw in approx. 5 brand new Wii systems with it

$700+

It would be hard for me to spend $650 on it but yeah its worth about 700-800 I'd suppose.

well I don't know about GOW but I used to have a 9300 with the 6800ultra and it coule play hl2 ep1 max settings at 1440x900; can probably play most newer games at mid-lower settings. my m170 now can play crysis at 1024x768 at a mixture of high and medium settings.

Why did they make a m170 with a 6800 anyway ?
the 6800ultra is actually better than you would think; its better than the 7800go that came with e1705s for example, but I think since m170s and xps gen2s are identical, they just decided to offer the "newer" m170 with either card.

But why would they buy a m170 if it has a 6800 card in it ?
The Gen 2's are alot cheaper...
I don't know that the gen2s were "cheaper" I think it was a name change more than anything else.

How will Halo 2 run on it ? I don't have Vista thought....
Haven't tried halo2 TBH but it will probably run fine on medium settings if I had to take a guess.

I already bought it, but did'nt pay for the whole thing....
That's why i'm asking about what games it could play.
Is there a way to play Halo 2 on XP with MP ?
no xbox games cross over in multiplayer with their PC counterparts.
