Ghaz , when are you putting that 7900GTX in you E1705 ??? I kind of want to see your impressions about 7900GTX over a 7900GS .
And why dont you just put your system on standby mode during at night .

I would really like to get some screenshots from 8600M/8700M cards too if anybody on here has them!

I don't care for the wear and tear caused from components constantly heating up/cooling down. But to each man his own of course.

I do too, although I just do it because I know the electricity if I left mine on 24/7 would be a hell of a lot higher

As for shutting down the PC, i live in an apartment so I pay an electric bill 4 ways (including me) and we all pitch in to save energy.

I have my desktop that is my 'slave' which runs quite often. Its an old P4 Atix300 so I put that through abuse if I need to. Plus I would like to keep my Dell for the next say...........4-6 years

updated w/ 8600GT
is that 8600gt from a dell? I didn't realize they used the (much) slower DDR2 memory in place of GDDR3 for the 8600.

I was wondering how my FX3500 was apparently crippled in comparison to the 7950, thanks for the thread answer that GPU-z version 0.1.1 is more accurate

Here are results from GPUz 0.1.1 and 0.1.6

<a href="http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o272/dalmore/?action=view&current=Capturegpufx3500.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o272/dalmore/Capturegpufx3500.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

this is with default clocks 575/600: note the difference in pixel & texture fill rates between versions

With max o/clock to 620/700 get: Pixel 14.9 Texture 22.3 Bandwidth 44.8
