Can I play my PS2 using my laptop as the moniter?

Hi all

I have searched around on google with little success and called toshiba. No dice as of yet.

I have a toshiba qosmio g30 av1 laptop. It has a tv tuner and a svideo in and a VIDEO in ports, along with a bunch of other stuff.

It also came with a video-in cable, heres a pic of it:

I read if you have a video in port its really easy to hook up the ps2. So i plugged in the red, white and yellow ps3 cables into the matching colors, plugged in the power, stuck in the video in cable into the video in port and nothing happend. I still had my desktop view.

So i was wondering...Can i hook up my ps2 to my laptop using these cables? If so how? Do i need any special programs to do it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need anymore info feel free to ask

Thanks
D.

You'll need some sort of software that recognizes your video in the tuner software that came with the laptop should be able to tune to input just as a Television set does. It won't automatically display the PS2.

Now, assuming you get all that working there's still a possibility that the display will have enough of a delay that the PS2 games will be unplayable. Some tuners are bad about inducing lag others are not.

What's wrong with what came with the Laptop? I'm pretty sure Toshiba included some way for you to utilize the built-in tuner of the Laptop.

I just managed to get the picure from the ps2 to show on my screen using windows media center. I have vista home premium btw.

But there is like 2 or 3 second lag between button pushes.

I read with video in there shouldnt be any lag? Any way i can fix this is or is there a better program out there for me to use?
