How is the screen resolution? I have been thinking of ordering one but want the opinion from a few about the screen. 1280X800 seems like a low res to me.

If you wait until after the beginning of the year, they will be adding more screen res options. I really couldn't wait, as MbWife will need one as soon as possible for her schooling. Plus, she doesn't want the higher res lcd, so it worked out well.

Looks like I'm gonna have to go to the Dell kiosk at the mall to check one out. I gotta see the screen at 1280x800. I'm so used to looking at the 1920x1200 . I have to see the quality of the picture it gives

I would strongly urge you to consider a longer warranty package 2 years at the very minimum.

Wow. Nice performance. Dell XPS M1530 is one popular laptop.

I would like to purchase the same latotp, but I can't decide which screen resolution to get. I don't do a lot of gaming, or photo editing. What benefit am I going to get if I move up to one of the higher resolutions?

thanks

Dean,

I have the XPS m1530 with the 1280x800 resolution. It's actually for MbWife who doesn't do a lot of gaming either, so it's a perfect fit for her. The video's she watches are crisp, and look amazing. (I'm jealous actually. I wouldn't mind one myself. )
