NB This is the WInXP driver; did they also add the Stereo Mix feature to their Vista driver for the Sigmatel 92xx ??

I wonder myself. They had this as an update for my M90, too, so I installed it this morning, but I can't see any differences in any of the control panels I know of...

[Shrug] On the other hand, I wouldn't really know why I would need a Stereo mixer...

Stereo mix means you can record from the current sound output on the laptop instead of just the microphone input.

Stereo Mix is basically a " What You Hear" mixer plug-in that will allow you to record all sounds in the current audio environment. In other words if you choose Stereo Mix as your recording line in, it will record everything including system dings, website music, whatever is playing in Windows media player, etc.

Now I haven't played with this a whole lot yet, but installing the XP drivers on a Vista system is causing the Sigmatel control panel to crash for me. I have not had a chance to test it much..

Here's to hoping Dell will actually release this for Vista users soon.

Stereo mix is great for spamming music over teamspeak

Or recording with FRAPS/any recording program.
