Hey guys,
I just got a dell inspiron 1420 an an early xmas present. Although, I am facing a problem connecting to the internet. I currently have a linksys router that i use for my computer (desktop) that is wireless and has been running fine now for months connecting to the wireless router upstairs.
I have windows vista. The thing is, is that windows is detecting my unprotected linksys router, and says it is connected to it fine, with excellent signal. When i go to the internet browser it is telling me that it cannot connect to the internet. I have heard that I may have to change the DHCP on the wireless router for a maximum of 10 computers. Maybe because my neighbors are running off my wireless router and it has meet the max amount of computers.
I really do not know what the problem would be. Is there something I have to enable, or something on the computer I have to switch on. I also did a hard wire right to the broadcom PCI card in the back of the laptop and it still is not letting me connect to the net, although, again, it is being detected.
If anyone has a resolution can you please help me! It has really mad me angry.
Justin
