XP Drivers for A215-S7422

Like many of you, I don't like Windows Vista. I have had my A215-S7422 for about 2.5 months running Vista Premium. I upgraded it to 2.5 GB RAM which helped the performance but Vista is just a bloated hog...so I started searching for XP drivers when I learned that Toshiba does not provide XP Drivers for this specific model.

Instead of going to individual hardware manufacturers, I started searching through different Toshiba models.

The Satellite Pro A210-EZ2202X uses the exact same hardware (e.g. chipset, Realtek sound and wireless, ATI video etc.) and all of the XP drivers are provided on the Toshiba website.

I loaded XP Professional three days ago and installed the EZ2202X drivers downloaded from the Toshiba site. Everything works perfectly.

I hope this helps many of you.

There were several threads on the other side (Toshiba Notebooks) and this one in particular that had most if not all drivers

I'm not sure what you might be missing. Did you install the chipset drivers?
Here is a link to all of the drivers on MegaUpload; I uploaded them for another person who asked. These are the drivers that I used and have no issues (no hardware missing or alerts in the Device Manager). All of the drivers aren't necessary; I didn't use the touch pad drivers, for example, but everything is included. I hope this helps.

Not sure what is going on. I can not get rid of the 3 yellow base system device in device manager. I am DL the stuff you posted above, hopefully there is something in there I am missing. I am damn glad to get rid of vista, now just need to figure out what I am missing on the devices! Thanks.

Well no matter what I have tried, I can not get rid of the 3 BASE SYTEM DEVICE in device mgr. that are yellow with the ? mark by them. Every time I boot it ask to look for drivers. Any thoughts out there?

Nothing has worked to get the 3 base sytem device in device manager installed. Could service pack 3 for windows xp be causing me a problem? Any thoughts or suggestions would be great! Thanks.

I had the same problem with a U305-S5097 in XP SP3. The three devices turned out to be the Ricoh card reader controllers (memory stick, XD/MMC, xD).

Make sure you install that driver package:
