AVOID Hypersonic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This company is horrendous. From the day I received my Aviator GX7 it was nothing but problems. Over the first three years it was in for service five times - and each time the system was returned, either the problem was not resolved or other problems were created. Not only that, Hypersonic had the machine for over TWO MONTHS during one of these "service" requests! Pitiful.

Furthermore, it's obvious the company does absolutely no QC after supposedly "repairing" a system. Since one of my problems related to the display looking horrendous and pixelated upon booting, any QC should have easily seen that the problem was not fixed - yet they still returned the system without addressing the problem whatsoever.

And as to their "extended" 24/7 telephone support - a complete rip-off. After hours if you call, you are given two choices by the ignorant telephone rep: re-install the OS or call back during business hours.

Absolutely DO NOT waste your money on one of these machines. I wasted over $4,500 for a paperweight.

I have to agree, although the after hours tech new more than the in house tech, but they cant make any decisions on if the machine needs to be returned...the in house tech dont care about ya...customer service dont care about ya......the laptops are not worth the money...I also spent over 4 grand for a laptop worth less than 2 grand....I dont see the new owner fixing anything without totaly replacing all former employee's and moving the business out of NewYork......as much as I dont like Dell I would have been better off buying Dell XPS Laptop and saving a little over a grand........Hypersonic has left a bad taste in my mouth and NO way would or could I recxomend them to anyone I know or do business with...I am currently still looking for a laptop builder who makes good products at a decent price that cares about customers and would like to see thewm become repeat customers...Hyper had that chance with me....they blew it...I buyild a new desktop every 2 years and buy new ;asptops every 3 years.....and I usualy buy 2..one for me and the other for the wife...she is a gamer also..........I emailed the new owners...thought I would get a response...looks like the new owners are no better than the old owners....oh well.......a business cant make it in this world today with attitudes like that........I do know this my next laptop...if its not what it was davertised to be..it will go back within the first 5 days for a refund........I gave hyper a chance to solve my problems..they never called me back....and sending the machine back....well from the horror stories like the one above is a gamble...to many wind up worse than before they sent it back...........so if you buy a hyper...dont say you werent warned

Agreed. I'm currently awaiting the return of my EX7. This is the fourth or fifth time I've required a repair, and repairs normally take at least a month with hypersonic. When this thing is up it runs like a champ, but when it's down, it's down for a very long time. I must have lost half my 3 year warranty to break downs. And their customer support is horrendous. It takes at least a week for a call back or email response. Personally I feel I deserve a refund of some sort of at least a warranty extension.

I dont see Hypersonic doing much in the future...may be why they sold it.......I have to agree once again........I just took my EX 7 As a loss and wrote Hypersonic off from my places to buy a PC........I would rather buy a HP or Compaq packed with all that bloatware.....Hypersonic even caused me to place Dell back on my list of places to buy a laptop from........thats bad....I have been meaning to update my review on re-sellers.com .......I will make a note to do that this week-end...or maybe just write a whole new review...after a year and 7 months...I have a lot to say........seems hypersonic buys their machines from Sager...Sager is Clevo's american distribitor.........shame is..all those high specs and all that money......it runs like crap when you put all that togeather.........I honestly think when it came to the EX7...you would have been better off buying one of those Wal* Mart 500 buck laptops...everytime I pull my EX7 out I get a sick feeling in my stomach....my wifes Toishiba is a hell of alot better and the specs are alot lower also........snding a machine back 4 times its really sorry service.........I didnt send my in because of all the stories from people who said it came back in worse shape.......I am a gamer...but my EX 7 is only good for basic computing.......runs to hot and the cpu speeds dromp to many times to play any decent games made today....I would love to get a class action suit going.....all we need a enough people to sign up........I dont care if the lawyers are the only ones who do benifit from one..as long as Hypersonic has to pay someone for selling crappy lap-tops........ .......

Can I tell you something? Every time I turn on my EX7, I hope that it doesn't break down on me. I thought it was going to arrive today. It didn't. Hypersonic told me they'd get in touch with me and send me a tracking number. They didn't. I called and emailed them. Did they respond? No. I almost bought an Alienware, but instead, Hypersonic was launching the 7800GTX ahead of time. I bought them after I checked out all of their reviews and write-ups in magazines. This was the biggest 4k piece of crap I've ever bought.

On top of all of this Hypersonic does nothing in return for all the crap they've put us through. Dell will offer to upgrade your system free of charge or give you a full refund. MY LAPTOP DIED ON ME 4 TIMES. What did I get for it? Nothing. All I can do is sit here and wait for Hypersonic to patch that turd up and send it back to me for it to break down 4-5 months later. This time my 7800GTX fried. They didn't even give me a new card, they had to send it to taiwan so they could refurb that crap. What kind of garbage is that. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. And I thought the OCZ buyout would do the company good. What a load of crap that was.

Edit: And what about my 3 year warranty? I've had months of down time and my warranty expires this December. What do I do then?

I would suggest you go to resellers. com and post a review of your machine and Hypersonic...I will be updating my review later today......lots of people look there prior to buying from someone......nothing can be done to help you or me...b ut we can warn others and maybe force Hypersonic to make some changes that help customers..or they will just lose business and maybe go under...either way......from what I paid for and what I have got......Hyperserves all the bad luck they get...do unto others..

This is my second review on Hypersonic and my EX7 Laptop. At first the machine seemed to be pretty good, but as I bought newer games the performance just wasnt there...the cpu speeds would drop from 3.8 gig, all the way down to 1.8 gig. It also runs hot and this is when the CPU speed will drop, I called Hypersonic over a year ago and they were suppose to check out some things and get back to me.....never did...be warned..stay away from Hypersonic....they are a bad company from one end to the other.....
I never sent it back in because of all the problems people had when they got their machine back, way to may were in worse shape than before they were sent back , so I just wrote it off. People please stay away from them.....read here if you dont believe me
http://www.notebookforums.com/forum161.html
just read the current and past reviews and you will see I am telling the truth....Hypersonic is crooks. My EX7 is now just a 4 grand machine I take on trips to acess the net and send e-mail while out of town.
Pat on the forum will try to help.....not sure if he really wants to help ya are keep his job...but thats the main thing OCZ should do...fire all current employee's and move out of New York City area, maybe take the operation south to Atlanta....Chatanooga area's and start from scratch...I build repair computers and build desktops in my spare time when I am not working (employed as an chief electronics tech for a mineral company). If they moved north of Atlanta I would consider going to work for them and could fix the mess they are in......they are a ship that is taking on water and no one on the ship is willing to bail any of it out...so what will happen to them soon is they will sink.....OCZ has purchased a a boat with a large hole in its hull...and they need to fix it fast or to the bottom it will go....untill then people trust me stay away from Hypersonic This review was modified by its author, Georgia Rebel, on 2/2/08 5:27 PM.

I replied to your similar post in another thread. As I have stated before, we are doing what we can to increase our customer service experience as well as looking into other areas in which to improve.

While I am sure it is nice in your neck of the woods, Hypersonic has already shifted operations to California. I personally would not trade the California weather for anywhere else!

pat.

Is there an issue with a system that you have purchased from Hypersonic? If there is a problem that I can help you address, please let me know, as it sounds as though you have some hard feelings.

If there are no issues, and you just wish to troll a forum...please go troll elsewhere.

I also just saw your post on reseller ratings, with a fabricated invoice number. As I said before, if you have a legitimate grievance, then by all means we are willing to resolve the issue.
