m1330 screen goes black 5 min into 3d games

whenever i play a 3d game my screen goes black like its in standby. i am unable to get it to come back. i have to hard power off the laptop.

used 2 dift drivers and os's but same issue happens

i guess i got a nice defective laptop

I have the same problem. M1330, Vista, LED screen, 8400 video card. I also have the problem with the screen not coming out of sleep mode, forcing me to hard reboot all the time. It seems that DELL hasn't addressed this issue anywhere despite lots of people having the issue. I'm afraid I may have to send my notebook back if there isn't a software solution.

I get the same thing. Only when the computer is under heavy load. It's happened to me twice since September. It's rare for me. Probably a video card issue since it happens when I'm in a game.

Doesn't sound good. I am looking to trade into the M1330, but not for gaming use, more for portability. Need an I9300?

Let us know if you find out whats wrong with it.
