I have a vaio vgn-fj 270. The driver for the cd/dvd has vanished. I can download firmware, but it says no driver support found. I can't use my reboot dvd's for obvious reasons. I have used the partition as a source to reload any drivers. but to no avail. Sony has been of little help. Except to send the unit in to one of their repair facilities. Don't think so.

Anyone had a similar issue and how did you resolve it?
