Inspiron e1505/6400 - Which Way Should Laptop Cooler Fans Blow? (Away or Towards)

Hi every1,

I've decided to build a laptop cooler since I am not happy with whats out in the market right now. Most of the coolers blow air in the center and if you know the e1505 its just useless.

I actually picked up a Targus Chill Pad the newer one and its literally didn't do anything for my temperature. I tested it using prime95 for about an air and reall saw no difference. This laptop cool blows air at the bottom of the laptop.

I was hoping someone could tell me which way the fans should blow on the cooler I build. Away from the laptop (sucking hot air away) or blow towards the laptop.

thanks in advance!

Never owned a laptop cooler, but if I was building one,it would have the cooler fan blowing straight up into the fan intake for the notebook and maybe another fan blowing into the vented ram grill if I wanted to get really carried away

My laptop cooler blows on the bottom center and works very well on my e1505.

It's far better to blow cold air onto something than it is to try suck the hot air away.

Look at air cooled engines that are used on lawn mowers. They have a cooling fan on the top of the engine that takes in cool air and blows it through ducts around the fins on the cylinder jug and head.
