Have you updated all drivers for the laptop?

I think i've seen higher scores than 9116 in other reviews...

Yes I updated drivers. Given, the benchmark was done in Vista Ultimate 64 not XP 32 which always means there's a performance hit. For a non-overclocked, Vista64 system, it seems about right. My desktop did over 16k in XP 32 but is at 15200-15400 in Vista 64.

As a sanity check Packer's Alienware Area 51 m15x Review had 3dmark06 of 9451 in what looks to be Vista 32, albeit with the 2.4ghz 4mb chip.

I see what else I can do but it may just be the Vista 64 ballpark.
