ya, no kidding. Just take apart the laptop yourself and bring the pieces you wanted painted to a shop, would be much cheaper

Buy a couple hundred dollars at least.

I think you guys are underestimating just how hard it is to paint a notebook and make it look "good".

You want to see the crap people try and put together? Go here: or here

leave it to the pros at Smooth Creations

Steve smooth creations are good for what you had done but for simple single colors they bend you over. I have a few friends that do auto body and custom paint work and they have all laughed at the prices SC chargers for single color work.

Thats fine. But i bet you the cost of a SC notebook that your buddies work is nowhere near the quality you get at SC. Great he can do it in his garage for the cost of a bucket of paint, but are they authorized to take apart an Alienware and still have it covered under warranty like SC can? Didn't think so.

Buying a painted laptop is a luxury, like buying a sports car. You can either afford a Ferrari or you can't. It's that simple.

One you have never seen anything my friend has painted, two he has a shop, three I would never buy an AW to begin with.

and really, it's just a laptop, we want to be able to game, not be the biggest nerd with some pimpy lookin paint job. Why spend useless money on some fancy paint job when you can get a better piece of hardware instead.
