Tool to tell brand of RAM in M- 50- MX 50??

I want to upgrade my RAM in this xpsp2 notebook and want to put in the same brand of RAM. I know that it is PC 2700 DDR; however I would like to know the current brand in it.
I know that a lot of users will say that it does not matter, however I had a bad experience with Toshiba and the extended warranty that I bought a couple of years ago when they tried to blame the problem on the brand of RAM installed. I paid $350 cdn for this warranty which covers droppage, spills etc. and thus want to insure that I am doing the correct RAM brand install.
I would appreciate comments, I don't know if there is a tool or whether there is a place where I can find the brand of RAM listed??
Thankyou.

Open the memory access panel on the bottom of the laptop when it is turned off and do a visual check

Since I am new to this, I thought that I should ask b/c I was told by toshiba that the current 512 ram is on the mother board and that all that exists for me to view is the empty slot at the undercarriage of the notebook which indeed it is... empty. I don't see anything there as far as name of what is on the motherboard for memory. I was told by toshiba thatcould insert either 512 gig or 1 gig mem maximum in the slot and got no specific brand name of the ram on the mother board. however I do know that the notebook part number is PSM50C MX500E ??? BTW, I took it to my software installer for my work software and he could not tell either, though he is not into adding RAM etc. , he is basically our security tech at the office and BTW, the toshiba is my own and not owned by the office.

According to the ToshibaDirect website, all they sell is Kingston memory

Hynix brand RAM is a common OEM of Toshiba's memory. They don't sell direct to the retail market AFAIK even though the company owns a huge chunk of the memory market--they're the world's second largest memory supplier.
