M6811 and 1080P output (1920X1080)

I bought a 42 inches 1080P TV and I tried to connect my Emachines M6811 with a Mobility Radeon 9600 with OMEGA DRIVERS 2.6.87, and the TV says that it's unsupported by my PC and the screen shows nothing. But that happens only for 1080P, it's ok for 1680X1050 and if I go higher it will make the screen slide when you move your cursor on the edge of the TV, same thing happens for 2048X1536.
Tommorow, I'll try to connect one of my other PC on it to see where's the problem.
And maybe I should try to put the Official ATI drivers on my laptop...

If you tried to connect your Emachines M6xx laptop to a 1080P screen at 1920X1080 please tell me if it worked !!!!!

Thank you !

I have the ATI driver 8.205.0.0 from 1/4/2006 and it lists lots of 1920X1080 modes. Never had a chance to try them, but there were both 30 Hz (interlaced) and 60 Hz modes.

PROBLEM FIXED !
I needed to uncheck "Use DCC information" in my graphic card monitor settings, so now I can output 1920X1200 and it looks great on my 1080P TV.
