Different parts of a laptop

Hello everyone, can anyone point me to a reference point where I can find information on the internals of a laptop? A block diagram will be more than sufficient, but I really would like to find detailed information on the various components that make up a laptop. Thanks!

best way to learn is hands on. if you have an out-of-warranty unit lying around somewhere. crack it open and take a peak.

in all seriousness laptops are not at all that complicated. Yes a bit more of a challange than a desktop because of space limitations, but overall the layout is logical and reasonable to work with if you wanna do things like swap out some hard drives or whatever.

Agreed, 110%.

Another thought would be to download any of the Dell Service/Repair Manuals from their site. They walk you through complete disassembly/reassembly of the entire rig, so you could learn a lot of "What is that?!?" just by reading one.
