I just read a comment someone made that the M7700 processor is a full strength desktop versioon and it generates extensive heat and that is transfered to the motherboard and surrounding components. I know the P4 in my desktop pumps out tremendous amounts of heat.

You're right mjdart, I was just saying my AW 7700 was doing alright with only one (although major) component failure.

Really 1 failure isn't that bad for a full blown desktop pc hiding in a laptop case.

I received my mALX last June and it just gets better evrytime I use it. I mean to say that I never get over the enjoyment of pulling it out of the huge Alienware backpack and booting it up. It plays World of Warcraft like a dream

I used to use my Dell XPS M1210 for my office needs, like e-mail, Excel, Word etc. Now I use it as a secondary machine that travels well but the mALX is just so much fun to use because of the graphics, monitor size, keyboard with a numeric keypad. And it is good for weight-lifting as well, lol!
