Heeey people, im new to the whole forum thing so give me some slack if im doing something wrong

Anyway, ive used my USB flash drive to flash my bios on my XFX 8800GT once before... but then a hard drive decided to catch fire and then i reset the bios on my card and installed a new Hard Drive and vista ect. Now when ive come to flash my 8800 bios again i get a message saying Error: No Nvidia display adapters found.

Im using the same stuff as before but for some reason, my USB pen seems to be showing as a Hard Drive now in my boot screen and were you would normally type "A:Nvflash --save orig.rom" mine now shows as a "C:" anything im doing wrong? Im using the PC as i type this and i can play games so i dont know my my 8800GT isn't showing up

Thanks alot!

Floppy drives and CD drives typically give you an A: and R: prompt respectively. The usb drive traditionally gives the C: prompt.

nvflash --list should list all nvidia adapters found on the computer. Of course, based on your previous statement, I'd expect it to return nothing. Run it and post your results here. The command should list your card and a little additional info about it

Try the same command with the drive letter the usb pen is getting if your flashing from within windows example A:Nvflash instead woud b C:Nvflash, if your doing it from the bios check your cmos to see if its able to boot from usb hdd. not to sure about the later but it may be worth a shot
