dell webcam

there's probably something im missing really obvious here, but why does the webcam on my m1330 (with CCFL screen) seem to cap out at 8 fps? apparently it automatically changes the framerate but no matter where i am it stays at that. can i manually adjust it?

Same Problem here with the webcam of my Inspiron 1720.
Has anybody similar problems or found a solution?
