Fellow NBF Members - I strongly encourage you to read the full article. Malware creators have a huge head start by knowing exactly what anti-virus/malware programs look for. A 12-hour lead can lead to thousands of infections.

There are some extra precautions you can employ to protect yourself.

I am sure most of you use some type of third-party freeware app to sanitize and protect your PC. Some of the more notables are: SpyBot Search and Destroy, AdAware, AVG Free, and even Microsoft's own Windows Defender. These are all available at your favorite freeware site.

One of the 'extra' precautions I use: FireFox with the ScriptBlocker add-on. It can be a PITA at times, but it works relatively well.

I also encourage everyone to share their experiences and recommendations regarding PC protection.
