m1530. may not be worth the hassle of XP

Thread Starter
been messing with my 1530, you can use the drivers for the m1330 but for some reason xp seems to have some issues running stable.

i get debug errors and even got the blue screen irq greater than less then screen.

might have to run vista to actually have the stability i want. there is a scary thought

It's been around a year since the intro of Vista. I've been using my 1520 as a test system since last August. So far Vista has been proven stable to me and actually it's grown on me. I've got Vista installed on my XPS 410 now.

Even though Vista uses more resources than XP, I prefer Vista now. I have had no stability issues and Vista performs at the same level as XP did for me. Like you experienced, it's tough finding Dell driver stability with the new laptops. If I had the XPS 1530, I'd stay with Vista without giving it a second thought now.

hmmm, thanks for the info. I was planning on waiting to use Vista until hell froze over. I hope you find solutions. Mine won't be here for a couple weeks so I can't help figure things out. What about using XP drivers for the 1520?
