I don't think they will make a G92 8800 GTX or Ultra

Yeah, very unlikely. They know as it is that within months they will release something for the high-enders.

Wonder if GBQ can take the pressure =)

He's been waiting a LOOONNNG time...

I'm thinking about just getting an 8800GT last, going with EVGA and hope that nvidia will come out with their uber-high end card, within 90 days of course.

Scratch that. I can't do that. I have to wait, because I'm not going to redo my entire watercooling loop for the new card.

darnit!

Dude - that's EXACTLY what I'm looking at. I was going GTS.

EVGA's step up and warranty are the poo.

Oh - congrats! Was going to PM you...

Congrats to you too, Buck. I knew you would get blue, with the threads and info you were posting.. all top notch stuff.

edit: I'm actually looking into what ati will be offering soon. I might just go CF, since I'm seriously considering the Asus Maximus Formula now.

I've been waiting to post this to try and sift through speculation and fact - but it seems that ATI may be dropping some bombs around nvidia's uBer cards.

Not exactly sure what they're up to, but I've seen 'specs' on the 3870x2 and a "3970". If the 3970 specs I saw were indeed fact, it's a serious GTX killer.

Give it a week or two. We'll see what happens.

I know you hate to keep waiting, but the Rampage Formula is right around the corner too...

I'm considering the 8800GT and then just holding out past the 9 series since so far the previews are crap as for the 9 series + giant price tag. I'm thinking buying a $250 card now and holding onto it for 6 months and then if new games come out that rape it...I'll upgrade.

Also, what happened to the 9 series thread? seems to have disappeared unless I'm retarded.

My eyes are getting a bit crossed as well sifting through mobo info. I really don't want 780i. Would much rather X38/X48 for the same reasons you probably do.

I just hate having to pick a mobo around fooking video card.

Hmm sounds like waiting for CES first would actually be the better idea
