Sager/DAW RME Cardbus controller problems?
I noiticed this on the forum: listing the specs on the 5660. I am particularly concerned about the Cardbus controller not being good enough to handle Professional Audio ( as per RME top of the line DAW Audio interfaces). The 8887 lists a Texas Intstrument Texas Instruments PCI-1520 CardBus Controller . GOOD
....but 5660 might be different if what is posted below is true.
I have heard good reports from users about the Sagers in general, but if anyone has problems with the 5660 PCMIA/Cardbus , please reply.
<< Let me illustrate that on the Sager 5660:

<<<From RME / about cardbus recommendations.:
No, but different versions of the controller. Note that Windows' Device
Manager often says 'or compatible', so it isn't always clear what
hardware (chip) is used. Also there is a newer version, and a newer
version of the newer version (II) of the Ricoh, which might work. Not
sure. A new notebook test with more current models should follow soon.
***Our main new enemy seems to be the ENE CB 1410 and 1420, a cheap piece of taiwan junk, implemented in lots of the newer notebooks. Will add this to our hardware alert page.***
