well,
UT 2004 runs kinda slow with full details at 1400x900.... when half-life 2 comes, it will run even slower, so I'm kinda getting sad. But what can I do? the 9700 is only marginal better :/

anyone have any articles to the new mobility chips coming? Hopefully with 8 pipelines and stuf?

I'll sell you my 4780 for 1450.00 if you want
its a p4 3.0 ghz w/512ram, 60 gb HD, and a linsys 54 G card.

Not three years ago I was running off a Pentium Pro @233 MHZ! W/ a 4GB hard Drive, Windows 95, integrated Extreme Graphics, and installed my own modem (ISA Slot) and later 10 baseT ethernet (PCI=Jackpot) now talk about underpreforming and outdated. Solitaire would lag at the victory screen.
*Runs To Joke Book*
However I found that sprinkling a little crack of the Processor would give my computer a big boost in speed folowed by a day of slow preformence along with associated "Illegal Operation" and memory errors.
*Do not attempt adding crack to a computer, it is an Illegal Schedule 1 substance. This was a sad attempt at humor by a very bored and tired person.

Alkalinex, you 4780 is still basically a top of the line laptop with nearly the best video card for consumer laptops. Relax a little.
