Vaio VGN-FS630/W Help!!!

I have a Vaio FGN-FS630/W, and when I turn it on I get the main Vaio screen and then the message "Operating system not found" I've tried to get into the recovery by pressing F10, but nothing happens. Is there anyway to fix this besides sending it in to be fixed??

could be a simple bad hard drive. do you have any diagnostic software? if not, there are some out there that are free downloads. good luck!

take out your hard drive, and detect the hard drive as the second drive in other PC using the USB connector, sometime if you use the same file system, you can see the Hidden drive C, this is the drive that sony used to stored all the recovery files needed. just copy the file into cd or dvd, then reinstall everything..
