8790 hard drives keep failing

I have an 8790 with 2 hard drives. A few months ago my primary hard drive started going bad as the OS wouldn't boot. after testing i figured it was the hard drive going bad. I purchased a new Hitachi drive, the exact same one as the original, 2 months later the problem is back. It seems that the hard drive would be constantly being accessed which takes the OS about 2 hrs to boot up. Im starting to think that it may be related to something on the 8790. Anyone experience this or can shed some light?

I had similar problems with drives failing - I want to say they were Hitachi or Toshiba drives (maybe one in the same actually)..............anyway, after the last one I replaced it with a Seagate drive and haven't had a problem since.
