Hello all,

A customer dropped off a Precision M60 laptop with what can be described as having no power to boot at all. I plugged the PA-10 power supply upto it, pressed the power button, nothing. So I tried one of my Pa-10 power supplies to rule that out, sure enough still no power.

I then checked the battery area, all looked clean and good there. I then looked inside the AC plugin area on the motherboard to see if anything was loose or broken, nothing appeared to be. Doesn't mean it isn't broken.

Anyway I took components out stripping the system down to the motherboard to see if it was fried or any obvious burn marks or anything like that.

Nothing.

My question is... is it a bad motherboard or bad AC female adapter on the motherboard? It's as if no power is getting to it at all.
