While I don't necessarily disagree with your logic, Commish, I just don't see the appeal of the m15x without the 8800M GTX GPU. I think there are other more affordable, and lighter weight 15" notebooks out there if you don't need a gaming screamer. (And yes, one of those I'd recommend would be the Dell 1530 , albeit the best (IMO) is the 15" MacBook Pro. It's a delight to travel with and the LED screen is great. ).

I see your point...as a gaming laptop, the 8800M GTX is where its at. I guess cutting costs in other areas would make sense then, like processor.

The macbook pro is another option for me, though I've never seen them with an LED screen?

I hope they release the lower end verison so we can customize it soon. I'd love to see what I can get one for loaded as "smartly" as possible.

The warranty for 300 bucks is the real pain to me with ANY laptop...dell apple AW...really throws the price high.

I totally agree. That is the appeal of the m15x is that you can get the 8800 in a 15" laptop.

Upon further review.... appears NO text filtering = wayyy to easy to abuse and consequently not as fun.
Although I did generate some rather objectionable plates I thought better of posting em..... like the one I did post wont get me flamed enough haha

Where is Yang when we need him?

archalien is a smart guy, but seems he's intent on being a smart a$$ these days.

Let's try to keep it peaceful here. If you don't like what Alienware is doing these days, why don't you just hang out in the HP section???
