Are you going with a kit? Or are you going custom?

I have the Stacker 830 evo II

It has grommeted holes for tubing for external radiator's, it has mesh at the bottom for an enternal radiator. You can rig up a triple rad in the front of the case. I really believe it's the best case for watercooling, besides Mountain Mods.
Oh no, no water cooling for me until I've experienced building rigs for a bit longer. Although I know loads about computers, I haven't even put together an air cooled let alone something that has the possibility to leak *gasp* but at some point I will. Probably more so for the looks than even the cooling ability it has. It's incredible the heat capacity water has in comparison to something like aluminum or copper.

I've always seen the pictures of cool looking WC cases and those that voodoo makes and think they look so awesome. Maybe in college as a summer project I can work on one

Anyway, back to the topic, I'll list mountain mods and the 830 for watercooling friendly whether someone prefers the cube or a regular full tower

That's pretty nice too, pre-setup for WC

Will do, for 5000 creds and Duke's HD-DVD Matrix collection... for free.

Welllll ... after doing more research, I'm settling on my final choice for my next air cooled rig ... looks like the winner is:

The Silverstone TJ-10 (thanks Nyako)

My other top choice is the Lian LI PC-A70B, but the dimensions of the TJ-10 will fit my desk better.

The thing I question about those is why are they good for air cooling? They just don't seem all that exceptional for air intake/outtake. Not saying you made a bad choice, just wondering why you consider it best

Why???

1) It's about as large as I can fit, so should have room for after market cooling solutions.

2) I like the style (door) - note that this, or more likely an earlier similar model, is the same case Falcon NW uses.

3) Reviews on it give it very good marks. While it may not be the most silent case out there, I think with a bit of extra sound insulation, it will be pretty good.

4) It's got the side areas for ventilation and a fan to help cool the graphics cards.

5) In all ... there is placement for 6 fans, including two on the top. So, with some low/medium fans hooked up to a controller, I can probably control the noise/performance.

AND.... Nyako has it, so it must be good

it's a beautiful clean case

Again that case is SEX. Shazza you will not be disappointed with it. Though it is not cheap. Plus it is built well enough that you can Cut, Drill, Dremil it with out worries.

these look interesting.....the antec 1200 and 300.....now all they need is the 900

after looking at the new antecs closer I wouldn't buy one.....too much plastic.

a good case has ZERO plastic (or at least minimal, meaning plastic only to hold drives and add on cards in place.)

With that said the only cases on this "best" of list should be from Silverstone and/or Lian Li

I don't believe that is always true. They are good cases, but not for everybody and in all situations. I personally don't like the styling of most of their cases. I like a more curvy case, more stream lined than what they both offer. Plus I don't want this thread to become a lian li-silverstone only thread.

I like the Antec 1200 quite a bit, although plastic-y which I don't really approve of. The 6 fan configuration is probably very effective as they're all placed in very good places. I may just consider it depending on when it's released. Looks of good choices out there

I like the built in air filters...

Very true to all of the above I can see where you're coming from. I guess in reality the only thing that keeps me from looking at Lian Li or Silverstone is looks, I mean really....I just want something that appeals to me in the looks department as that's all I'll see of the system anyway

I can understand that, pdonket. Which is why it's good you're doing the research. Don't forget, you and I are separated by almost 4 decades, so I'd expect you to be a better judge of what the younger crowd is going to like.

this case has plenty of room

though I must say it is ugly for a Li li
