The Best of the Best: Cases - Page 4

Not necessary - his suggestions are very solid.

He IS going at this like a pitbull.

The Antec 900 is the current market leader, by a huge margin...at least according to Fry's and MicroCenter.

I expect she's looking around and just is looking for advice

Also, just found this which I would have to say is one of the most KICK ASS things I've ever seen. Except I don't know where you access the I/O panel

Do note that this case was made specifically for air cooling, it is loaded to the brim with fans and even has room for another (note top has room for a 3rd) and the one side is grilled so that heat will more easily diffuse because of higher surface area. Excellent case.

Why, thank you.

The Antec is a market leader, but it does not begin to match the Lian Li or Silverstone models wrt quality/looks. So, maybe it's a case of BMW vs Chevy --both work just fine, some prefer one or the other. BUT, in the end, I'll take ugly over looks if it gives significantly better performance.

(PS ... pdonket, you've done a good job, and I'll allow you out of the dungeon for an hour of gaming )

Do you like lights in your cases? Or refinement?
Whew ... that Themaltake is a good example of where Money don't buy beauty

Do I like lights:

That's the last one. This next build will be much more sedate, and "refined," so bling is not a requirement. I've got enough to last a lifetime in the first one.

Yeah the TT certainly isn't beautiful, but I think that is by far the best air cooled case I've found around.

Hey PD - consider this one for your summary as a great "discount" case.

Air Cooling the 900 without the window is still my Favorite.
I wished I liked the Antec 900 or Coolermaster 830, cause all you guys do seem to like their performance.

Yeah sorry to say but those are as good as you're gonna get. The CM830 has a side literally that can be filled with fans in any arrangement of in/out plus there is the rear and front fans

Yep, I know hulioni has used the 830 (or one of the versions) and has good things to say. He's now picked up the Cosmos, so will also be interested in what he has to say.

The Cosmos is amazing for sure. I also like the padded side panels that are included. I'll either be getting it or the stacker for my next PC

The Cosmos is a great case - a must see. It was on my build list until I compared it to the dimensions I had to work with =(
