I guess you have to decide how liekly you would upgrade your processor and how much that would be worth it. I was "set" on the high resolution but the majority said that it would be overkill. THe more I think about how sharp the 1440 by 900 will look on the smaller screen; the more I agree. Plus, the 8800GTX will have an easier time rendering less pixels and will look better playing games at native resolution. Plus, if you get the better processor, in the future, when games are SLIGHTLY more cpu limited, the extra CPU power may come in handy imo.
I see. Great point, thanks for sharing the info. Actually I try to imagine how will I use my future m15x, which imaginably alot of Call of Duty 4 (last time I used to play lots lots of Counter-Strike 1.6/Source, doing scrimmage tourneys and stuff). I am kinda gamer that play 2-3 types (for instance 1 fps, 1 strategy and 1 rpg) of different games and having goals of being really good at each of it.
About the native reso and stuff, I heard if we play "in a window" mode which most games usually have on their option on our native screen (for instance playing a game @ 1440x900 in a window on 1920x1200 native reso.) the graphic quality will NOT degrade at all. So, first question, it's that true?
