Need to run mymathlab.com for my current math class. Of course... it gives me a very straight forward "install windows or go kill yourself"

ugh...ideas/suggestions before i go kill myself?

Actually gimme a moment, ill set up a bottle on Crossover on my mac and see if it works.

Man that sucks. Small Xp install for cases like this might not be a bad idea man.

currently considering vmware as an alternative. do wanna try wine+ie though... currently the suse repos are down (server hardware failed) so i cant install wine

Yep I would be getting the MathXL installation Wizard page mself, so try WINE or Crossover and IE.

Side note, please for folks curious feel free to pay for Crossover as they employ several lead developers on WINE. Plus you get the very handy bottle functionality.

Actually I thought STEAM worked under WINE?

Gonna have to check on that sometime, not in a rush though myself.

steam runs under wine just fine. the games might be a bit tricky though
