I have a i6000. A year ago, I upgraded it from a 1.8ghz celeron 1gb ram at 400hz and integrated graphics to a 2.27ghz pent M, 2gb 533hz, with 128mb ATI x300 by buying a i6000d motherboard to max out what it was able to do.
I heard about people trying to fit in a x1400 a long time ago, but apparently nothing ever happened with that.
So, I want to take my parts that I can from my i6000d, namely the maxed out pent M, memory, HDD, and beautiful screen (1920x1200) and move it to the e1505, where i can finally upgrade to a x1400 with 256mb.
At this part people tell me i should just sell my parts and use it to buy a new computer, well i don't want to do that. I got my last motherboard for about 75 bucks on ebay, and that's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new computer, especially since this old thing won't fetch much.
In another thread someone asked something similiar, but everyone comdemned him because they said it wouldn't work with the old versions of the pent M cpu and that the memory wasn't ddr2. Well this is the newest version of the pent M cpu that they ever made and the memory is definitely ddr2.
So can this be done? I know not to take the ati x300, and i don't want to anyway. Does anyone know what would keep it from working? Any info would be great. Thank you.
