Have been searching for a new laptop for some time. looked at dell, gateway, Hp, ibuypower, cyberpower, hypersonic, ABS, ZT group, Powernotebooks.com, Sager and others.
I need P-M processor, 5400 rpm HD, wireless G, Bluetooth, Gigabit ethernet, 4 hour battery life, Would like ATI 9600 but cant find all of the above on many systems. Would like it to look nice but cant be to flashy (might get Stolen at college). Also, at least 14 inch sxga screen, Weight around 6-7 pounds.
HP nc6000 has all of the above but have heard that the 3d benchmarks are not very good? does any one know about this? If anyone has any other suggestions please reply. Also like Ibm except for price which must be 2000 or less. Have heard about discounts on IBM, what kind of discounts can I get?
Also for gigabit ethernet does there have to be a special network or will it have increased speed on normal network. Gigabit does make connections faster Right?
Keyboard must be firm and system must be stable. Dual pointing devices would be nice.
please help

it weighs just 6.5lbs with the battery. It sure is pretty sweet. Im not sure whether is fancy looking, its personal preference, but if you go to hyperdatadirect.com you can see some pics. The laptop is based on the model 8050.
