That one comment about Americans only speaking one language bothers the hell out of me. I am American that’s can speak Swedish, German, Danish, Spanish and some Russian. I have spent many years with other ethnic groups and lived with many different cultures. So don’t just group all Americans into one pot as lacking and speaking other then their own languish. Just remember when time comes and other countries need help whom do they call, Russia? No the USA it’s very easy to hate a country you don’t understand. I can go on and on, but the main thought I can give is life is too short to hate, and we need to move beyond this one is better then that one kind of thinking.

Just my 2cents:

Good one Micro.

I live in S. California where most of the people I know speak 2 languages. I speak 2 dialects from Asia, and understand enough of Spanish to get myself out of a bar fight.

Ok people, chill!! Maybe we should just delete this thread so there is no more fighting...

If there is any fighting Booga can get us out of it

Isn't Delphi where the oracle lives? Wouldn't you be glad if tech support does move there? It'd be like having a prophet answering your technical calls...

Oh, and I think the English of Eastern United States is closer to Elizabethan English than the current English accent of Great Britain...

Me??? I can get people out of it? But no one is posting in spanish... :-)

I like Indian food...

I speak german, spanish, and a little French as well as English.

If you ever call Alienware and have a problem with someone's accent, just ask to speak to another agent and they'll get you one. I've personally never had an issue wtih that, but some do and Alienware understands that.

Delhi not Delphi your dork! Delhi (or New Delhi) is a major city in India and is not the same things as Delphi (which is in Greece (I think)). And I like Indian food too

new delhi = india's capital actually

delphi is in greece, as legend says on top of a mountain where the oracle lived surrounded by vestal virgins - LOL

I have been to Delphi, Greece in 1994. The people of Greece are very nice to get to know and understand. I will be going back Greece in 2005 for more research. I hope to maybe get back to Delphi also. Here is some information I had on Delphi.

For more direct information people could go to oracles, temples where the gods were believed to answer questions or deliver cures by various means. The priests at an oracle relayed a god’s message, or the visitor could gain clues in a dream as to what the gods wanted. Seers at oracles told prophecies about the future. Pilgrims from beyond the Greek city-states flocked to major oracles, such as at Delphi, to ask for divine advice about marriage, children, money matters, and even foreign policy. The responses were always riddles, because gods were too complex to reply clearly to mere human beings.

Delphi, Greece, was considered by the ancients to be the center of the world. Private citizens and public officials would come to consult the oracle there, who was said to speak the words of the god Apollo. The temple brought great wealth to the town and was repeatedly attacked from as early as 595 BC. Excavations began in 1892 and many fine buildings were uncovered.

Cool! The oracle reveals herself in my reality.

I will seek this oracle you speak of, and I will unleash powers within to stop bullets in mid air. And maybe even do the "Superman thing".

Arabic is tough.

I learned German in high school, and while living in Germany for a short time. Learned spanish while living in Colorado and working construction as the laborers all spoke spanish, and had a Vietnamese girlfriend that spoke French and she liked it so I learned.

Well actually, not 2 years. I took spanish 1 in 8th grade, then 2-4 up to 11th grade. I'm currently in 4th year of spanish and am totally sick of the language. But I wish I could speak hindi/gujurati fluently... I only know a little bit of both, but I can understand pretty well (damned hindi movies corrupted me...)

My family comes from Sweden so that was easy to learn. My mother worked for Lufthansa German airlines so I went to Germany every summer and from there I was able to trevel to many different places. Danish is close in German so I picked it up pretty fast. Spanish and Russian I took in college.
I have stayed with many different people though out the world and have many close friends in doing so.
