HI

I just got a new M1730 (replacement for XPS M1710), does anyone have a good fan control program that works with fans in M1730 ( I think M1730 has 3 fans) ?

I have I8kFanGUI and NVTempLodder but there is a big defferance for the GPU Temp. readings and I cant find out which 1 is correct ...

You have to change temp sensor in I8kfan.

GPU sensor to 4.

He means you need to manually adjust the temps in i8kfangui to the correct readings. It'll be in the options.

What they all mean is open ik8fangui and goto => options => advanced and down the bottom you will see GPU temp.offset - you use this to correct the reading in your case 4 deg - this will fix the difference you see and sort out your problem.

Umn no guys.

Offset should be 7C (not neg.# btw).

And 4 should be GPU sensor in Internal Sensor Configuration. That's only way I can match the ATItool with consistancy.

I am pretty sure it's slightly different with each computer.

As you can see, using a negative number set both programs to reading the same temperature.
