Game skipping overtime HELP !!! - Page 3

you cant just ask for a new one. what you have to say is that your laptop has been "fixed" numerous times before and the problems still exist. therefore you would like an exchange. they dont make ur model anymore so they will have to give you a different one and the only 17" xps systems they have at this time is the M1730. Its all about how you word it. I found that out after about 7 calls to dell myself.

Should I just cancel sending it in? And when I don't get a good tech should I just quit or what? I'm not good with warranty, I used to build custom's. I still think it'd going to be screwed when it get's back, because it's still doing that same skip. Ohh, and the Dell Diagnostics say my GFX card is fine LOL!

The Dell just checks to make sure you card is connected, i dont think it does any indepth scans, which sucks brcasue i want to scan my video card for errors using something like those Dell Diagnostics.

So if anyone knows of anything im all ears

Once you get it back and the problems still exist, demand a replacement. Since they dont make ur model anymore they should upgrade you.

Uhh, the people at the Dell forums say my warranty will be limited to 90 days, if my system get's replaced. Is this true?

Try asking another rep, the whole warranty of the first system should transfer over to the new system....god when will Dell start hiring people that know what they are saying

No, the people at the Dell Forums said that. They said they would give me a Gen2 or M170. They act alot different there >_>

Mcfly, can you tell me how you got a M1730 with 8800's?
You can read my thread to see how I got my M1730 and some of the 8800 threads, I have explained in those also. Sorry but I have done so like three times already, dont feel like typing it again.

I read it, so I "Live Chat" tell him this computer is far from fixed. Then when he says I can get a replacement, I ask for his number. And call him later asking for a 8800. I'm I right? I really want to play Crysis not look cel-shaded above 15FPS
