notebook cooler that blows UP

i'm in need of a cooler that sucks air from under itself and blows it up into the bottom of the laptop. I need this specific config due to the fact that my lappy (a sager 8890) gets its cold air from below and if the fans of the cooler blow down, it would counteract the fans of the lappy resulting in even hotter temps.

I'm posting on here because no matter where you find a lappy cooler, the direction of air travel is never mentioned...

Proust!

edit: just realized that my title sounds like i'm looking for a cooler that explodes... it is safe to assume, that I'm not

Targus makes new ones that blow up under the laptop.

any idea exactly which one that is?

They should be the only ones they sell in store by Targus. The way to tell is they are a darker grey then old one and have curved sides.

You can also just flip the cooler or take then fans out and flip them.

I have yet to find a cooler that is worth the money. The best cooling solution for me so far has been water bottle caps. one under each rubber foot of the lappy. Just elevating the machine to allow my stock fans to work better has dramatically helped my cooling when gaming.

Yes that is the one I am talking about.

Melshaw, I think they help when you aren't on a desk, like on your lap. They make a nice base to put it on this way too.

I never game with the lappy on my lap. I only use them when I'm gaming. Kinda hard to play battlefield2 with it on my lap. Although I have tried it. If a system gets hot under normal use it may be time for some cleaning.

Depends what is normal for your laptop. Mine is around 68C at full processor load or 48C on battery locked to 800MHZ.

using speedfan, it commonly hits 71 but shuts down when the temps get much over that...

How did you get speedfan to work on yours? The only ones I have gotten to work or Mobile Meter and Notebook Hardware Control (my personal choice since it saves battery life too).
