My friend has an Inspiron 1150 and it's got an issue where the clock is fast... REALLY fast. A minute passes roughly every two seconds or so in real world time. This is happening in the BIOS and in Windows. Now I'm assuming most laptop main boards have a small battery similar to desktop computers. If this is the case, could this be going bad and need replacement? And if so, how do I replace it? I looked at the service manual and users manual and didn't see any explanation, or even see it in any of the pictures they show. Also, if this doesn't sound like that's the problem, any ideas on what it is. If there's work to be done on it, I'll have to go at it since the warranty has long been up. I don't mind that, I just don't want to go to his house and start tearing it apart having no idea where the battery is, or if that's even the most likely problem. Thanks in advance for any help.
