USB Root Hub - Vista -> XP but USB devices don't work

Hello Everyone,

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 and have just finished installing XP over its default Vista.

Video, Audio, and chipset drivers all seem to be OK, except that my USB ports don't work! I can't get my USB mouse to even light up.

In the Device Manager, the "USB Root Hub" is question marked as not having any drivers. Where can I get drivers for it?

Please help!

They should be installed along with the chipset and windows install (assuming > service pack 1)... I would try re-installing the chipset drivers first, and failing that get all the windows updates, see if that helps.
