There is a small possibility that it will in the future but generally we offer a new system (1740 maybe) instead of upgrading an older one.

again I hope he is mistaken.
Consumer Resolution sounds like what they call a "Make it up to get the consumer to shutup but make sure you can deny or change your mind later" division.

No? Are you serious, read the the post again, I said they are fast as they are, that doesn´t mean they are as fast as the 8800m. Maybe someone else is smoking crack as it seems. I consider my 8700m GT quite fast in SLI since I can run Crysis at 1680x1050 with a custom config that is built from Medium settings but adds lots of the effects from High settings and with fps from 25-40 fps. Go figure.

Though there will definitely be an upgrade for me to the dual 8800m GTX.

OMIGOD!!!

1730 with dual 8700GT and maxxed out costs here in Moscow 6600$.

Don't even want to think of the price of one with dual 8800GTX! But it's gonna be sweeeeeeeeet lappie

I wonder if GeForce 9x cards appear in laptops soon (April? May?) though...

Yeah I think many people thought you were saying that the 8700 "was as fast as it is" meaning it is the fastest out there. Anyway, back onto discussion!

Probably not on the 9 series, they will only just release most of them in March as it is, so it seems a little too hopeful that they will be released before summer

Yep and I am getting it for free. I cant wait till it gets here. Ill be sure to post results once I get it so watch out for a new thread by me in a week or so. My Dell account says it should ship by 2/4/08 and then all I need is for the tech to come install it. I am getting an exchange order from my 8700sli to the 8800gts sli =).

I dont know. I just know I emailed my dell rep who has been handling my system exchange and after some talking he is exchanging my 8700sli for the 8800sli free of charge. I just got my M1730 like 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my E1705 that they werent able to fix. I am so glad I got the 2yr complete care warranty hehe. Ill be extending it for sure in a month when I get my income tax return.

It sounds like it's not a regular CSR, but some sort of rosolution specialist.

Resolution specialist usually work on a case, and wouldn't be able to help others even if you do get hold of the guy.
