RAM for my 9880

Hello-

Three years ago when I got my 9880, I knew all the specs on it. However, I've since forgotten what kind of RAM it takes, and I can't find out anywhere. The RAM it has is merely marked "DDR2".

I've got two SO-DIMMs of DDR2 (667 MHz) lying around, and I was wondering if that'd work?

I had figured that since the 98xx was 800mhz fsb, I should be able to use 800mhz ram. When it came time to upgrade I asked around to see if the upgrade would work, I was told that I should stick with the original. So I picked up a pair of PC2 4200's. If I had had spare 667's or 800's lying around I probably would have tried them though. If you decide to try it, please let us know if it works.

But yes, it does work, and has been working for quite a few weeks now.
