Having trouble with my Laptop...looking for parts

Hello

I am having a terrible trouble with my laptop (specifications in the Sig). Today out of nowhere it decided to die on me for some very odd reason. What happens is i turn the laptop on i hear the hard drive spin and in a matter of 3 to 4 seconds everything shuts off but there is still power surging through the laptop. I suspect that this might be a motherboard problem.

So any opinions on what should i do? Also i am asking if anyone knows where i can buy (if possible) a new motherboard for my ACER.

. tried reseating hard drive and memory modules?
. for parts, one of many

or ebay, or hopefully some forum users working on the side could assist u

Reseated everything and tried to start it up again but alas still no go. Any other ideas.

i would remove the cpu and see how it would react before panicking about the mobo - good luck

Tried replacing the CPU + Memory and still no luck. It does the same exact thing. It starts up without any screen activity at all and in about 3 seconds every component shuts down but there is still electricity running through it.

OK i managed to narrow it down to 2 problems. One is a bad memory slot and the other one is a small cable that needed to be soldered so the laptop can work again. For the bad memory slot does anyone know if it is fixable or not?

This is interesting indeed. I need to look if any of my pins are dislocated like the ones in the video. *sigh* back to the magnifying glass
