XP Pro and remove Vista

Hi guys,

I want to get rid of vista and install a fresh copy of Pro?
Would all I need is the CD's of the drivers or will there be any issues?

need a xp cd and dl the dell drivers

If you want the media controls to work for Mediadirect you will need MD3 and the cyberlink software too (Should be with your machine but depends on model)

Its the XPS M1530
My friend gave me hes Dell XP CD from hes Dell inspiration. SHould that work?

it should install but i got blue screens with the unstability of xp onthe m1530 platform

That would indicate driver issues?
Ill install it this friday and see how I get along.
Do I delete the backup folder as well and I believe there are some hidden folders, do I delete them as well?

You have to install the Intel Chipset software usually first right after the OS install to make sure the system is stable. Its not really a platform issue that XP would be unstable because most of the M1530 is the same with some small exceptions to the Vostro 1500.

If you just install XP and then only the basic drivers you downloaded but do not do the intel inf update you will most likely have funky behavior.
