Best driver for 6800 Go?

Thread Starter
Two Inspiron 9300s. Both with 1.86GHz processors, 6800 Go's and 2GB ram, one with a 1920x1200 LCD, one with a 1440x900 LCD.

I tried out loads of different nVidia drivers for the 1920x1200 machine when I last installed Windows, and settled on an older (LaptopVideo2Go) version as video playback was very jerky on recent ones.

As I'm about to do full reinstalls on both machines, does anyone have any recommendations for the best 6800 Go driver for the 9300? Preferably one that will hold overclocking settings, unlike the one I'm currently using.

Atwood had a good driver I forgot what it was though. I think 154.XX try those.

Been using LaptopVideo2Go's 84.30s for a long time now with my 6800 Go. Overclocking "sticks" and I've had no problems.

I just loaded on mine yesterday the XTreme-G 169.28 XP 32bit Beta.exe Driver, it's fine for both Desk & Laptops. I did have to intall the Coolbits 2 reg hack to get the Overclocking back....

Played games for hours after, worked great!

Google XTreeme-G and look in the XTremeG nVidia Forums for the link, and coolbits2 is found at Guru3D.

My I9300 is running a 1.7Ghz CPU @2.13, 2GB DDR, 6800go currently at 325/650 (small OC after I installed the drivers, will try more soon) and I have the 1440x900 screen. Note, I've had my entire laptop open and re-did all the heatsinks with AS5....
