Nice, bench some more taxing 3D apps. And be sure to post in the fraps benchmark thread created by TurbodTalon
post #3 of 37
I'm still wondering how people can afford another $700 on top of that whew?
Let's see some Crysis !!!
3D mark Next will be the challenge though. It supports Shader Model 4.
if people were willing to spend 3-5k on a laptop, I'm pretty sure they are willing to spend another 1k to upgrade the GPU!

I'm considering for the upgrade, but really don't see the need for it now.
I could see someone buying it later, but with the system. You even know how good it is. There going to have to make a LCD better than a WUXGA with that monster!
man you got over 10000 at 1920x1200. thats sick. I cant wait till mine get here. w00t.
Considering my Desktop Sli 8800GT setup 3dMark06 score was in the 13K range, and that both cards set me back $ 600.00 shipped, it's not that bad of a deal for the GPU upgrade price.

I want to see some benchs in crysis at ultra high settings, or high settings

You mean to tell me that you got 35fps on Crysis with 1920x1200 @ fully maxed settings? It seems unbelievable
post #12 of 37
I'm also stunned 10K in 3D06 @ 1900x1200 - that is amassing, this XPS model is quick dam quick. I have already brought a 230W PSU just praying for the day when SHMBO is not looking to hard at the credit card receipts he he he
post #13 of 37
I'm sure the 10K 3d06 was at default settings (1280x1024)

Your right but if you check the settings used to run that test you will see it's been run at 1920x1200 - so one would expect higher 3D mark 06 scores at the default res, reading on the dell direct site they clam 13K in 3D06, they don't specify the res so based on the above test I'm assuming it is at the default res of 1280x1024 which is really sick!!!

I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!

That's too good to be true. Not even the best SLI desktop setups can claim that.

Exactly what I'm thinking
maybe he ment 1920x1200 at high, not at ultra high... Im thinking that if the 8700sli can give around 10fps this would easily give 30....
Hmm has dell already released their GPU´s? They announced it just a few days ago, didn´t think people got the cards already

I beleive zyb is somehow affiliated with Dell or has very good sources since he is located in Texas

all i can say is 10k 3dmarks at 1920x1200
dear mother of god that is SICK
even 13k at default 3Dmark settings is fantastic, I had to overclock the hell out of my desktop system to clock over 15k. I rolled back my overclock due to power problems and have a hard time breaking 14k so I am truely imressed with the 1730's 8800 gtx sli
all I want to see now is Alienware's m17x's version and make my decision on my next lappy hehe

Crysis is not is good as I though.
Lemmie see some "VERY HIGH".
And why does Sli not give you a 2X boost there 2X the GPU's?
