I installed a T9500 into my M1330 on the A07 BIOS and things were NOT good. The chip basically overheated - at least CPU usage just crept up and up and up until throttling kicked in. My guess is that T9500 requires lower voltage but the old BIOS doesn't know that.
I put my default 1.5GHz CPU back in and all was well.
Just been tipped off about the A09 BIOS so I've installed that, put the T9500 back in and so far everything appears to be fine. CPU usage is actually far more stable than it was with the 1.5GHz CPU in.
One thing that is odd is that i8kfangui, CoreTemp etc no longer appear to be able to read the CPU temperature. However, with Orthos engaged at maximum warp, the fans seem to be coming on at the right time and I don't appear to be able to overheat my M1330.
Also, battery life has shot up. Three hours on XP with a six-cell battery. Never got more than two hours 15 to two hours 30 before.
